White House wants to negotiate torture policy


According to Reuters, in an attempt to quell the recent uprising in response to the White House's recently publicized policy on the CIA's interrogation of 'terrorism suspects', the Bush Administration has offered a revised plan to three high-ranking Republican GOP senators who have recently accused the White House of endorsing an intelligence policy that subjected detainees to abusive interrogations and unfair trials. Earlier this month President Bush publicly revealed for the first time that 'terrorist suspects' were subjected to "alternative techniques" of interrogation. Link to the story below. -TW
